Railway PNR is a ten digit unique number that can provide the detail about the travel information to the ticket holders. Railway PNR provides the record of the itinerary of the passengers, stored in Computer Reservation System (CRS), which includes all the details like status of the ticket, details of the coach, seat number, fare and so on. Refund on the PNR status works differently for each status. For example, on confirmed tickets no refund is granted four hours before the scheduled time of departure. Similarly, on waitlist or RAC ticket no refund is granted thirty minutes prior to the scheduled time of departure.
